GTP-U means GPRS Tunneling Protocol User Plane.
GPRS Tunneling Protocol User Plane is used in S1-U, X2, S4, S5 and S8 interfaces.
GTP-U Tunnels are used to transfer shorten T-Pocket Data Unit and also used for Carry the signaling messages between the
GTP-U Tunnel Endpoints.
GTP header consists of The Tunnel Endpoint ID .The Tunnel Endpoint ID says the information about,  which tunnel a specific T-PDU belongs to.
The transport bearer is analyze by the GTP-U The Tunnel Endpoint ID(TEID) and the IP address.
